Description

Milesight IoT Cloud supports setting alarms to indicate the device status and data thresholds and send alarm messages via cloud webpage, mobile App or E-mails. This article describes how to set alarms on Milesight IoT Cloud.

 

Configuration

Set Alarm

Device Offline Alarm

All devices support device offline alarm and you can enable this alarm in Basic Settings. If cloud does not receive device upliinks for more than 3 periods of reporting interval, it will send offline alarm.

Note: the reporting interval is based on the setting on the cloud not device.




Threshold Alarm

Users can set threshold alarm in Interface Setting. This setting is separated from device its threshold setting.


When any of device value or status exceeds the threshold, the alarm will show on the Device page until the next uplink does not match the threshold. You can click the alarm icon to check details.



Low Battery Alarm

For battery powered devices, the cloud supports low battery alarms. When the battery level is less than 20%, the cloud will send alarm notification.



Trigger Alarm

Milesight IoT cloud supports setting alarms via triggers. For details please refer to How to Set Triggers on Milesight IoT Cloud.

Note: Do not set the same alarms repeatedly since the alarm emails and trigger times are limited every month.

 

Check and Send Alarm

When one of alarm is triggered, you can search and check the alarm trigger records on Event Center -> Alarm Reporting page.



After triggered, Milesight IoT Cloud will send alarm emails.

If you use Milesight IoT Cloud mobile App, the alarm will pop up for some models of smart phones which enable notification authorities.
