How to Use Debug Mode of ToolBox App

Description

This article explains how to export the logs of Milesight nodes using the mobile version of Toolbox.

 

 

Requirement

  • ToolBox App (Android or iOS)

 

Configuration

Step 1: Enable Debug Mode

Open the ToolBox App and quickly tap the version number 6 times. 

Once in debug mode, the debug menu will appear.

 

 

 

Step 2: Get NFC Logs

Read or write a Milesight device via NFC.

 

 

Go to the debug menu and select Log tab.

 

Check and copy the NFC logs, and share them to Milesight technical support.

 

 

Step 3: AT Command Debug

For Milesight cellular devices (including NB-IoT, CAT M, etc.), ToolBox App supports to send AT commands to get cellular debug information or configure the cellular settings.

 

Go to the debug menu and select Debugger tab.

 

 

Select an AT command or type the command to the blank on the top, click Write button and attach the smartphone to NFC area of device to send the AT command. About the required commands please contact Milesight technical support to know it.

Common command description: 

AT+CPIN?----Get SIM card PIN code

AT+QCSQ?----Get cellular network signal

AT+CEREG?----Get network registration status

AT+QNWINFO----Get network information

AT+COPS?----Get operator and access technology info

AT+QPSMEXTCFG?----Get PSM mode settings

 

 

After sending, share the results to Milesight technical support.
